The symposium will delve into the ethical and moral aspects of the engineering profession by bringing together keynote speakers from academic and industry backgrounds sharing their view.
Keynote speakers announced to date are:
Dr. Katleen Gabriels (Associate Professor in Philosophy and Ethics of Technology - Head of the Philosophy Department - Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences - Maastricht University)
Louis de Diesbach (Co-founder of the Research Lab in Business & Technology Ethics - ULB)
Additional keynote speakers to be announced shortly! Following the keynote speeches, we will enter a debate on the theme of "As engineering gives us greater power to shape the world, what greater moral responsibility does that place on engineers?" The debate will be moderated by ir. Anneke Hunninck – Business Developer at the Sustainable Materials Engineering Research Group of the VUB.
The evening will conclude with a networking reception, courtesy of the Brussels Engineering Alumni…
